According to the Gadberry Group, the Texas city of Keller takes 3rd place among the “Top Ten Most Notable High-Growth Areas in the Country.”
Say that three times fast! All you need to know is that Keller is an up and coming place to be, but you don’t need to tell residents that. Among Keller’s other distinctions include CNN/Money Magazine’s list of “Top 100 Places to Live – America’s Best Small Towns” and a spot in D Magazine’s “Top 20 Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Suburbs.”
What makes Keller such a desirable city? To start, Keller has an amazing school system that lends itself to several other surrounding communities, including North Richland Hills, Colleyville, and Haltom City. Keller Independent School District and its individual campuses have consecutively received the highest possible accountability ranking by the Texas Education Agency for several years. Keller ISD also serves as the area’s largest employer. Small portions of the Keller area are served by Fort Worth’s Northwest Independent School District and Carroll Independent School District.
A lot of residents find Keller appealing because it has no direct contact to any interstate highways, keeping the city peaceful and quiet. And while access isn’t direct, it’s not far. Keller residents are minutes from I-35, I-820, and State Highways 170 & 114. DFW International Airport is only about nine miles east of the city as well.
Because Keller is primarily residential, with very little industry, there is plenty of room to have fun and enjoy life. The city boasts more than 300 acres of developed parkland, including eleven community parks and hiking/biking trails that stretch almost 19 miles in total. Keller also has one of the lowest crime rates in the area.
Each year, the city organizes more than 25 community events for its residents, including festivals, barbecues, and parades. Keller’s also home to the award-winning multi-purpose facility, The Keller Pointe, which includes a 17,000 square-foot aquatic center.
