The city of Wylie was recently named the 2nd Best City in the Nation for Families in 2015 by NerdWallet.com. Think about that – 2nd best in the entire nation. That’s quite an honor and there has to be a reason for it. Well, for one, the city’s crime rate is extremely low. Safewise ranked Wylie 18th on their Safest Cities in America list, the same year that NerdWallet honored the city. Another thing that makes it such a desirable city is how much it does for its residents, including holding numerous community festivals and events every year. Wylie is home to the very popular Bluegrass on Ballard summer festival, showcasing live music, a car show, delicious food, and tons of arts & crafts. One more thing that makes the Wylie the 2nd best in the country is the clean, friendly neighborhoods.
With more than 40 beautiful neighborhoods within the city’s limits, it’s not exactly easy to decide which one you’d like to call home. One of the most popular, family-friendly neighborhoods is the community of Bozman Farms.
Bozman Farms is a master-planned community, right in the heart of Wylie. Located near several main roads and highways, the neighborhood offers residents major convenience of nearby shopping, entertainment, and employment. Firewheel Town Center, Garland’s major shopping/dining/entertainment destination, is literally right down the road. FTC is an open-air shopping mall that spans a total of one million square feet and is home to more than 125 retail stores, a number of restaurants, and an 18-screen AMC/IMAX theatre. The Market Center in Rockwall is also only minutes away from Bozman Farms, as well as the Collin Creek Mall. As for employment, the city of Richardson is about 15 miles away. Richardson is home to the Telecom Corridor, a business center that contains more than 25 million square feet of office space and employs more than 130,000 people.
Bozman Farms offers its residents plenty of amenities, making it easy to just stay local and enjoy the community for what it is. The neighborhood is home to Rush Creek and its surrounding woodlands, including about 70 acres of creekside parks and trails.
Speaking of parks, there are a number of skillfully planned parks and playgrounds throughout the neighborhood. Within Collins Park, residents can enjoy the Collin Park Lake which features a beautiful, lighted fountain and a large, spacious fishing pier. The Lake is kept fully-stocked for all Bozman Farm anglers to relax and enjoy a day of reeling in the big ones! As for relaxation, the community offers its residents a large, crystal-clear swimming pool at the Recreation Center.
Bozman Farms is served by Wylie Independent School District, which boasts one or more designated distinctions for almost every campus in the district. Students in the community will attend Watkins Elementary, Burnett Junior High, Harrison Intermediate, and Wylie East High School.
